I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and Clinical Supervisor. I have over 14 years clinical experience as counsellor and psychotherapist, working in both Private Practice and NHS.
My clients are adult individuals who wish to work on: anxiety, panic, trauma, childhood trauma, single incident trauma, stress, anger management, relationships, dealing with conflict, assertiveness, depression, low mood, low self esteem, lack of confidence, disordered eating patterns, bereavement, and other personal loss, relationship difficulties, coping with change, managing feelings and thought processes clients who are in recovery from addiction. plus clients who wish to understand their inner working models of attachment. I also support clients who wish to work on personal development, or create more fulfilment and happiness in their lives.
In addition to my Counselling and Psychotherapy private practice I have worked as a counsellor specialist for the Maternity Department within a large NHS trust, as counsellor and a supervisor for an organisation in Windsor. I have worked as Counsellor for the Guys and St Thomas Hospital Trust, as a Hospice Counsellor and for a Counselling Agency.
I work within an Integrated Model of Counselling & Psychotherapy (Clarkson Model) and have a post graduate diploma in Attachment Based Psychotherapy, plus additional post graduate training in CBT, Mindfulness, EMDR (trained with EMDRworks), EFT and Energy Psychotherapy plus coaching skills. I am also a member of the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology Energy Psychotherapy Network

My experience includes working with adults with variety of issues and difficulties such as: depression, anxiety, low self esteem, loss of confidence, expressing and managing feelings, stress, managing anger, trauma and adapting to change. I am also experienced in supporting people with bereavement and loss; supporting carers and counselling parents who are caring for children with chronic health difficulties.
I have a particular interest in “Attachment Theory” which helps us understand ourselves, and our behaviours and experiences in relationships.
I work to help my clients gain self awareness, acceptance and to build self compassion, plus learning to be present, perhaps by using energy psychology techniques.
In addition to my Counselling and Psychotherapy clinical experience, I have a back ground of cancer and palliative care specialist nursing.
